NGSPB – June Luncheon

NGSPB will host a panel of special guest speakers that includes industry experts Daniel Lippe, Sharon Beemner, Suzie Boyd and Mike Banschbach. The round-table, Q&A format will emphasize the Covid-19 impact on the Permian oil and gas industry. NGSPB will also provide a Zoom link for those who want to join the June luncheon remotely.

Daniel Lippe – Bio

Daniel Lippe has been active in providing professional consulting services to clients in petroleum products markets since 1979. He is recognized for his expertise in the economic and physical operations aspects of midstream and petrochemical industries. Prior to founding Petral Consulting Company in 1988, he worked for three well known industry consulting firms. In the early phase of his consulting career, he developed expertise in market analysis, evaluation of economic interrelationships, price forecasting, and dynamics of petroleum products, feedstocks and petrochemical markets.

With the founding of Petral Consulting Company in 1988, Mr. Lippe began providing his consulting expertise under his own flag. In the 30 plus years, he has provided ongoing consulting services to a diverse group of Fortune 500 companies and financial service firms.

In 2003, he developed the first comprehensive educational seminar for people who move into positions in midstream departments. A few years later, he added a companion seminar for basic olefins markets. He now provides these seminars upon request for individual clients.
In 2005, Oil and Gas Journal invited Dan to author two ongoing series of articles. One series focuses on trends and developments in midstream. The other series focuses on trends and developments in the petrochemical industry. In addition to writing more than 50 articles for Oil and Gas Journal, Dan is routinely quoted in various industry publications.
Education

Mr. Lippe holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University (1974) and a Masters of Business Administration from Houston Baptist University (1979).

Sharon Beemer – Bio

With more than 20 years of experience in the energy industry, Sharon began her career with The Williams Companies as a project engineer, moving through various increasing roles of responsibility with both Sun Oil, and Delhi Gas Pipeline. She joined DCP Midstream in 1999 through their acquisition of UPFuels.

Sharon’s most recent role was as Vice President Commercial & Logistics for DCP Midstream in Houston, Texas.  She held responsibilities for overseeing the Logistics and Commercial activities associated with the NGL Regulated Pipeline assets, including the Houston Control Center. Previously, Sharon was Vice President of NGL Marketing and Fractionation, and Vice President of DCP’s Commercial Gathering Processing Assets for DCP Midstream.

Sharon is currently serving as an Outside Board Rep at the Outreach Center of West Houston through her affiliation with the Houston Junior League.  She has served as a board member on various industry organizations, PERC, PFAA, and SWE

Sharon earned a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering and an MBA from the University of Tulsa.

Suzie Boyd – Bio

Suzie Boyd is the founder and President of Caballo Loco Midstream, located in Midland, Texas. Suzie’s background and wide range of industry contacts creates unique opportunities for her to capture benefits for her clients. Throughout her 35 year career in the Oil Patch, Suzie has experience in Reservoir Engineering, Asset Acquisitions and Divestitures, Gas Gathering and Processing, NGL Transportation and Fractionation, and Crude, Gas and NGL Marketing. Her experience includes time spent with Mobil Oil, Duke Energy Field Services, Enterprise Products, Crosstex Energy and Texon.

Suzie is highly experienced in gas contracting and negotiating. She has managed a large portfolio of gathering and processing assets, leading teams to accomplish major expansions through acquisitions and joint ventures. Suzie was instrumental in the development of a grass root gas plant and NGL rail terminal in the Permian Basin.

Suzie is a 2-time past President of the Natural Gas Society of the Permian Basin, a past Director of the Petrochemical Feedstock Association of America, Past Director of the Permian Basin Petroleum Association, Past President of the MagPegasus Federal Credit Union and active in the Gas Processors Association and New Mexico Oil and Gas Association.

Mike Banschbach – Bio

Michael Banschbach attended Colorado School of Mines, graduating in 1980 with a BS Degree in Chemical Engineering.  He worked for ARCO for 20 years as a gas processing engineer, purchaser of third-party gas for ARCO’s plants, and seller of ARCO’s gas to third-party processors.  For the last 20 years, he has represented independent oil and gas producers, negotiating gas gathering and processing contracts for new and existing wells, marketing crude oil, residue gas and NGLs. He is on the board of directors for Mexico Energy and Texas Alliance for Life and is active in the prison apostolate.
